I HATE SNAKES!!!

And Dylan really didn't like this one lunging at him when he went to pick up his bike. While he had set his bike aside this snake decided to get in the shade of it. I really hate snakes! I'd really like to know what kind of snake this is. Any ideas??

At the carnival

Every year I say I'm not going to keep taking the kids to these carnivals because they are ridiculous expensive. But every year we go back again. Well....where else are we going to get cotton candy? The kids won these funny hats that you cant see very well but they were cute and the kids loved them. They had fun and that's what matters. Anything for the kids huh!

Playing in mommy's makeup

The boys WERE supposed to be getting ready for a shower and look what I found :). They were playing in my makeup! Well...it did look more like face painting (and in Rylee's case a little chest paint too). Such Fun!

Lots of babies!

Who can resist a baby...even the little animal babies. These are the cutest things. The little ducklings we got to see at a ranch supply store. It was hard to get this picture cause the little ducks kept running back and forth trying to get away from my phone camera. I had to snap the picture when they stopped moving long enough to keep the picture from being blurry. The cow I've already posted on but I had to add with all the other babies! The sheep was on the side of the road having her babies. These little guys are literally newborn, mom was pretty messy so I tried to edit the picture a little....they are the cutest little things. She was licking them and they eventually stood up all wobbly and started nursing. What an experience to see. Rylee loved the baby sheep and then wanted to see a baby horse :)

Happy Mothers Day!

Dylan surprised me with these things he made at school for mother's day. I will defiantly be able to find some use for these things. I love them!! I also was able to get some grocery shopping done kid free which was pretty nice and really quiet! And now I am at home to spend some time with my kiddos. I think they are making dinner for me and we are going to watch a movie....Hotel for Dogs :) I love having days like this! I also want to wish all the mothers I know a wonderful, luxurious, and happy Mother's Day that you all deserve!!

Yet another OUCH!

I guess our family has issues with black eyes lately considering this is the 3rd post involving eye injuries in the last six months or so. So here is the painful yet kind of funny story.... We keep our mop in the garage and during this time of year I have found crickets or spiders in the mop and so I always shake it out really good before I bring it in the house. I was in too big of a hurry and lamely used my uncordinated left hand to shake it out since my right hand had the broom in it. After about 3 shakes BAM! and i was blinded by the mop handle straight to the eye. You might find this funny, but offer me a little pity....it hurt like crazy. This is not the best picture but the best I could take while having a hard time keeping my eyes open. You also cant see that the white part of my eyeball was no longer white on half of it. Housework is hazardous, yet another reason why we moms should get paid for what we do!!

Science Project

Dylan decided to do his science project on "How to Peel a Raw Egg". We had some fun experimenting with this. First we just did the egg by itself. We put the egg in a glass and covered it with vinegar and let it sit for a few days. THIS IS DAY ONE... THIS IS WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE ON DAY 2 AND 3 AFTER A LITTLE RUBBING THE REST OF THE SOFTENED SHELL CAME OFF AND THIS IS THE END RESULT.... HERE IS WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE COMPARED TO THE UNTOUCHED EGG. IT SWELLS UP AND THE SHELL DISAPPEARS. THEN WE PLAYED WITH IT A LITTLE MORE AND PUT IT IN CORN SYRUP OVERNIGHT AND THIS IS THE RESULT, IT SHRIVELED UP. We also played some more and after we put it in the corn syrup and it shriveled up we then put it in water and blue food coloring and although I don't have a picture, it came up with an interesting result. It swelled back up and turned blue throughout the whole egg. Pretty cool! This is why we got the results we did with the corn syrup vs. water or vinegar; "After the shell is di...
