April 2011

I'm sure you have noticed the low quality of my photo's lately.  That is because my camera is broke still and I'm having to use my cell phone.  Hopefully I'll be able to fix that problem soon! The kids had their spring school pictures.  I think they turned out pretty good except the quality because I took a picture of them with my phone... Dylan 11 yrs old  Rylee 4 years old Dylan participated in the science fair again this year.  This is one of his favorite subjects in school so he has a lot of fun doing the projects.  This year he chose to do it on "Ice into water into ice." He demonstrated how when something sits in ice it can melt into the ice then the water refreezes over it. (Not sure if I am explaining it good enough) He showed how it works by hanging a brick from wire around a chunk of ice, then watched what happened.  The wire cut through the ice but then it would refreeze over the top of the wire making it look like the wire was...

Where are the October Posts??

As you may have noticed, I haven't been posting anything lately. Well it's because my poor camera died :( So any pictures I have right now are cell phone pictures which we all know are not the best. I'm not exactly sure what happened to my camera but I think it started with this day..... Kirk was out of town so the boys and I went to my friends house and we had a sleepover...yep! Well they live in a really pretty area and I wanted to capture the fall colors. It wasn't the best time of day to get good fall colors but it was a great time to possibly burn up the lens (or something) on my camera with shots like these.... (Never really knew this wasn't the best idea) Well the other possibility is that my sweet little Rylee "borrowed" my camera and took LOTS of pictures of EVERYTHING...Me, Jen, the dog, rocks, etc., and accidently broke it. Who knows?! It could have just been getting old too. I still was able to get a cute picture of Rylee and his friend Paige ...

My First Craft Fair

I attended my first craft fair. I had a small and very crowded table but I think it turned out ok. The pictures are fuzzy because they are from a cell phone.. I did ok with selling, every little bit helps! These heat packs were my biggest seller. I have learned some things that will be helpful if I do another craft fair.

A few more house projects

We have been making a few small changes to our house here and there. We were lucky enough to get some cabinets that match ours perfectly for free. So we brought them home and added them to the kitchen, laundry room and bathroom. Kitchen before...look above the dishwasher Kitchen after- much better I think! Laundry room before.... Laundry room after....not finished yet, but much better! We have a place near here called Home ReSource. It's a recycling center for mostly building materials and items. We bought a door for to put in downstairs that didn't fit and had to return it. Since they don't refund money and the give a credit instead, we had to find things to spend that credit on. I don't have a good before picture of our old ceiling fan but here is a blurry one for and idea. And here is the new one we found at the Home ReSource. Better, we just need to look for a better bulb cover. At this place we also got a new light fixture for our bathroom. I am not going t...

We have a new door!

We have been wanting to put a door downstairs and we finally were able to! This is a before shot, just a window... Cutting out the the door and keeping it clean inside and the bugs out... The other side of the plastic curtain, a big hole... The New Door!!! It's in, now just a little more and it will be done. We are pretty excited to have this door.

Some more pictures of our visit with Jordan

Kirk's reaction when he realized it was Jordan, not Amanda we were picking up. Shocked and didn't know what to do for a minute. No he is not upset! All of us trying to get a family shot and we couldn't do it without a goofy pic too! Jordan on the bungee Dylan on the bungee Rylee looking like an angel while shopping...haha! The kids got into the kool-aid and this is what we found. Yes...it stained! Picking up Jordan and had to kill time at Walmart

Just a morning Picture

Here is one good reason for me to be up so early. It was quite a pretty sunrise this morning and if I were in bed I would have missed it. I love stuff like this :)

Fall Colors

Fall is very colorful in the mountains. These pictures aren't in a perfect location since I was a passenger in the car while I was taking them. But still pretty enough to show off.

Where's the Pot Of Gold?

I have seen quite a few close up and full rainbows since we have lived here. How great would it be if there was really a pot of gold at the end of every rainbow? I sure wish there was I would go gold hunting! I could almost see where it hit the ground. It was really neat to see. It's not as detailed in the picture but it is a good idea to how close it was to our house.

Tag: The way things really are.

This tag is from my cousin Stephanie who tagged me. The object of this "tag" is to show people the way you really live and /or make you feel better about the condition of your own home/life. Here are the rules: take pictures of the following things just as they are without stopping to clean, straighten, or to wipe a childs nose: the kitchen sink, the fridge, the toilet, the closet, the laundry room, your favorite shoes, your favorite room and your kids. These are not all the exact items- there are a couple different ones here and I don't want to take more pictures right now. So, Here goes.... Some of our Shoes in the entryway My Kitchen- can't see the fridge but here is the room it goes in My laundry room My unmade bed- Folding laundry here also my favorite room :) Bathroom Colors - In the process of picking one (also not the toilet but in the right room) Garage/ storage The dog My cutsie kids! I tag Jen, Amy, Vera

Just Because....

Kirk and I don't have many pictures of us on here. So I just decided to add one. Also, because we don't have many together in general, I had to use this even though it is a little blurry but I fixed it as much as I could. Leave it to Kirk to make a face in almost every picture we have.

Boys have fun with dress up too!

Dylan and Rylee were having lots of fun getting our dog dressed up. I would have to say it wasn't the same for him. It took lots of patience and treats to get him to sit still long enough to get these shots. I would never be able to dress him in dog atire even if I wanted to. Our dog is good just being naked!
