We went to the shooting range for some target practice and safety lessons. Dylan is really good at following the rules and is surprisingly a good shot. Rylee likes to use Dylan's BB gun. Here are a couple of other shots I got while we were out there. It was a very pretty day and it's always nice to spend time together as a family. The county fair... This is a big deal where we live. The fair goes on for over a week and there are lots of things that you can do. Dylan really liked smashing this car with the sledgehammer. This was a fundraiser they were doing for a little girl that has cancer. People paid for a chance to beat up a car and in return this little girl was being helped to "Smash her cancer". 4-H is a big part of the fair. We went to check out some of the animals while we were there. Look at this cute little pig! Rylee wasn't very happy with the smell but he sure liked looking at and petting the animals. Kirk hit a deer in our car. The insurance company totaled it out so we didn't have enought money to fix it completely at a body shop. They gave us a check and paid off our loan. We considered taking our car to the body shop and they said they could make it road worthy and safe, but not perfect for $2100.00. This is alot cheaper than the $5200.00 estimate that was given to the insurance company. But Kirk decided he could fix it himself, so we went shopping on ebay! We got all the parts we needed for about $750.00!! So here are the results...Not perfect but safe and road worthy! BEFORE.... STARTING THE REPAIRS.... THE FINISHED PRODUCT!.... There are still a few small dents in the hood and it's still curled up a bit. But it's a 2001, so perfection is not expected :) Great Job Kirk!

Times have been a little tough for us lately. So in our driveway sits a truck that needs a new clutch, another one that needs a transmission and then this happened to our only remaining decent vehicle.... Not so decent anymore :( Kirk hit a deer and totally wiped out the front end....missing headlight...pushed in radiator...missing turn signal...cant open the hood....Lovely! To top it all off, we are all stuck in Hayden because we didn't have rental coverage. At least Kirk was ok. Now we'll just have to wait til Monday to see what the insurance plans to do. Uggghhh!
