Tag: The way things really are.

This tag is from my cousin Stephanie who tagged me. The object of this "tag" is to show people the way you really live and /or make you feel better about the condition of your own home/life. Here are the rules: take pictures of the following things just as they are without stopping to clean, straighten, or to wipe a childs nose: the kitchen sink, the fridge, the toilet, the closet, the laundry room, your favorite shoes, your favorite room and your kids. These are not all the exact items- there are a couple different ones here and I don't want to take more pictures right now. So, Here goes.... Some of our Shoes in the entryway My Kitchen- can't see the fridge but here is the room it goes in My laundry room My unmade bed- Folding laundry here also my favorite room :) Bathroom Colors - In the process of picking one (also not the toilet but in the right room) Garage/ storage The dog My cutsie kids! I tag Jen, Amy, Vera

Fish Creek Falls

We took a small hike to Fish Creek Falls while Vera (my sister for those who don't know) and her family (Mundy, Andrew, Jeremy & Jonah) were here. I would have to say that this is one of my favorite places near Steamboat. We got a great picture of one of the butterflies that kept landing close by. I highly recommend the child harness that is on Rylee, it worked great. We had a few spots of high cliffs next to the trail and it just makes me feel a whole lot better knowing I have a little extra hold on him. The boys all got to play in the river which was FREEZING! Too bad it wasn't a little warmer I might have wanted to get in more myself.

Hayden Daze!

Hayden has an annual celebration called Hayden Daze. This was our first year going. The kids had a good time and they made everything free so they could do as many things as they wanted which I liked. Later that night we were able to watch the fireworks from my house.

Happy Birthday Rylee!

These are Rylee's first birthday pictures. As most of you know he had a little trouble with his breathing which is the reason for the mask and tubes. I am adding this picture of me looking absolutely horrible in hopes that you aren't going to look at it and only at my pumpkin. Obviously after a C-section I could have cared less about what my hair looked like but now.......Yuck, Kirk why didn't you tell me?? And this is First Birthday. Rylee's Second Birthday Rylee had two birthday parties. One on his birthday and the other on the weekend when Vera got here with her family. He loves opening presents and decided on the 2nd one that he didn't need to wait for anyone to be watching and just ripped into them. I'm not sure how he knew that he was supposed to blow out his candles but he did and blew them out with only a little assistance from us. It's crazy to think that he is now 2 years old. How time flies!

Memories

1. As a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember! 2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Our House

I have had a couple people ask to see a picture of my house. So here it is. BEAUTIFUL ISN'T IT!!!! Maybe one of these days we'll have a different color and get rid of the hidious sun shape above the window. All the homes done in our neighborhood has or had one of these. Some were smart enough to get rid of it. We will too when we have time to repaint. I don't like the colors of the house unless it's Christmas! Other than that, I love it.

I went Potty!!!

Just 5 days before his 2nd birthday, Rylee went pee-pee in the potty! He was so excited. He was in taking a bath and when I pulled him out he pointed down and said Pa-pa (potty). So, we have tried this quite a few times before but this time it worked! When when I thought he was done I took him down and he said pa-pa again so I put him back on and again he went. I know we are far from potty trained, but it is so exciting to see him begin.

Look-alike Meters

What do you think.....are they right. Honestly, I haven't heard much that Dylan looks more like me. I knew it was a toss up with Rylee.

The other house

So we now know what ended up happening with the other house. Pretty much things seem to have worked out the way it was supposed to for us in the long run. First of all, we were really unhappy to hear that they sold the house to someone for ALOT less than they were trying to scam us out of which was 335.000 or more. Why they couldn't have just handled things fairly and honestly is beyond me because they may actually could have made some money on the deal. It turns out they ended up selling it for 20,000 less then the 285,000 we were supposed to pay for it. And they had to pay us 15,000 that they wouldn't have had to if we bought the house for 285,000. The good news for us is this: The whole entire house was flooded because the pipes all froze and now there is alot of work and money that has to be put into the house that we don't have to deal with. The person that bought it, bought it "as is" and at least we are happy to know that Palm Harbor Homes didn...

Soccer

Dylan has just started Soccer and had his first game on Monday. He is so excited. He has done other sports like skiing, gymnastics and swimming but this is his first time doing this type. He is pretty good but I think all the kids on the team probably need a little more direction. He has only been to 2 practices and that is all they plan to do. So they don't know all the rules yet. It's ok though because at this age they are not trying to focus on competition, they are focusing on FUN and teamwork. They say that the next age group they get more serious. Poor kid got a headache and towards the end had a hard time with it. He stuck it out though and finished the game.

Little Artists!

What's better than a perfect excuse to get super messy? We started out trying to get some handprints of the boys to add to their scrapbooks and finished off making a huge mess and having tons of fun! Who knows? Maybe we'll have some famous artists in our family. I can tell you they'll always have a space on our wall for their masterpeices!

Our 4th of July celebration

We planned on going to the lake but ended up by the river because it was closer to our house. Not sure that was a good idea. There ended up being so many people there (after we showed up of course). We were tortured by mosquitos, ticks and other peoples dogs along with ours. To top it all off Rylee was very moody because it was past his nap time. We didn't stay as long as we planned because we just weren't enjoying ourselves as much as we expected. But once we came home things became more relaxed and our evening was alot more enjoyable. (except for the mosquitos.....the freakin mosquitos were having a feeding frenzy, why do they exist? ) We had our fireworks which turned out good because our neighbor directly across the street had alot also and we did them together. Kirk's big one that he bought for his birthday was done at the same time as the neighbors who had the same one so it turned out to be one big finale. We hope you all enjoyed the day yourselves. Happy 4th o...
