Random April 2012

This month is usually pretty busy in the way of holidays and birthdays in our family.  On the 8th was Easter and a friends birthday.  The 9th was my parents anniversary, they have been married 35 years I think!  On the 10th it was mine and Kirk's anniversary, number 14 for us!  On the 11th it was Jordan's 16th birthday and a couple friends' birthdays as well.  On the 26th it was my dad's birthday and the 29th it was Kirk's mom and Jammie's birthday too!  I'm pretty sure I am missing something in there too, that's alot to remember!  Happy Easter, Anniversary and Birthday to everyone!

My friend Carla graduated from Nursing School this month and I am so proud of her!  She worked so hard and made it!  Carla, you did a great job!! Here are some pictures of her graduation.  I wish I could have gone.  Congratulations!

This rainbow was shining down right on the roof of my work...too bad there really isn't a pot of gold at the end of that rainbow.

A friend of mine died in a car accident when  I was younger, about 18 years ago.  Joe's birthday was this month and he would have been 33 I think.   I was reminded of this and it made me look for his mom on Facebook.  I found her and also found this picture of him on her page.  His favorite song was "Always" by Bon Jovi, that is the song that his mom let all of his friends sing for him at his funeral services. I still miss Joe when I think of him.  That is one of the more sadder times for me throughout my life.

I was finally able to get ahold of some pictures of my neice Elora that was born in October.  All I had were newborn pictures.  Look at how sweet this girl is!  I miss her and her mom and dad and cant wait until I see them again!

Mini Vacation

We needed a vacation!  We were only able to do a long weekend so we had to stick close by.  We decided on a trip to the Denver Zoo and The Downtown Aquarium.  It was a good choice!  We all enjoyed our time away.

Monster Trucks and Family 2/2013

We went to Monster Jam on a recent trip to see Jordan and our family.  The kids loved it!  It was so so loud but fun to see! Everyone had their own favorite. Everyone went in already wanting to see grave digger, who is very popular but he broke down very early in the show.  Rylee liked the Mohawk truck and I think Kirk and Dylan both liked the dog one the best.  Best of all it was nice to spend family time together! While we were in Salt Lake we spent some time with family!  My aunts and girl cousins all get together for an aunts birthday.  This happened to be one of those gathering times.  so even though it was for a very short time it was good to see them all! Of course no one was looking at me for this photo!!  We also enjoyed time with my brother and his family and Jordan.

Sledding and Snow Play

Since we live in the middle of snow central we have to find ways to make it fun.  But there are dangers as well.  This was Christmas Vacation, it was so cold the whole time and the kids couldn't go outside.  It was usually around 10- during the daytime.  One day it was 20 degrees so I had the kids bundle up and go outside for a bit to play in the snow.   I went outside to give the boys hot chocolate while they were playing and to take their picture when I noticed that Rylee had white circles on his cheeks.  I panicked a little brought them all in, put warm washcloths on his face, and called the nurse line to ask what to do.  They said he had frostbite, stick him in the tub to warm his body and get his circulation flowing, and keep using the warm rags. If his skin turned red he was good, if it stayed white or blistered bring him in!  Thank goodness after awhile his cheeks turned red again!  I have no picture of the white patches on Rylee's che...
