Random Pictures December and January

I have a bunch of random pictures that I wanted to share from December (2010) and January (2011).

Dylan played basketball this year and his team was undefeated!! Dylan has played the two years before this but they never had games with other teams before, so this was a first for Dylan. He had a hard time at the beginning but quickly picked up on the rules and became more confident in playing and ended up doing pretty good and having lots of fun!

My kids are always making goofy faces and making theirselves look funny in any way they can think of. After getting out of the shower they combed their hair and came to show it off with their funny faces.

I got a new sewing machine for Christmas that I absolutely LOVE!! It was totally a surprise and it really made my day :) This is Rylee's beloved blankie and it was falling apart. When I made the blanket, I made it with white flannel on the back (Dont ask me why I chose white). But after using it all the time and washing it tons it was looking pretty sorry. Rylee said he was ok with me fixing the blanket and he even helped me pick out the new fabric. Notice that it is NOT white! And now, it is no longer ripped and falling apart. And the best part of all, RYLEE LOVES IT!! Here is the before and after...

The second thing I made on the new machine was this small patchwork messenger bag out of two different old pairs of pants and a shirt I found at a thrift store. Here is the front and back view...

Here are some pictures I took when I was playing with my camera's macro and super macro settings (and a really cool looking sky one day) Frozen berries and snowflakes...To see them in more detail click on the picture to make it bigger!!

Here is some cute video's of my boys using Rylee's hoola hoop...Thanks Grandma Sue for the gift card that Rylee used to buy this very loved hoola hoop! Look at my babies shaking their hips!!

Mini Vacation

We needed a vacation!  We were only able to do a long weekend so we had to stick close by.  We decided on a trip to the Denver Zoo and The Downtown Aquarium.  It was a good choice!  We all enjoyed our time away.

Monster Trucks and Family 2/2013

We went to Monster Jam on a recent trip to see Jordan and our family.  The kids loved it!  It was so so loud but fun to see! Everyone had their own favorite. Everyone went in already wanting to see grave digger, who is very popular but he broke down very early in the show.  Rylee liked the Mohawk truck and I think Kirk and Dylan both liked the dog one the best.  Best of all it was nice to spend family time together! While we were in Salt Lake we spent some time with family!  My aunts and girl cousins all get together for an aunts birthday.  This happened to be one of those gathering times.  so even though it was for a very short time it was good to see them all! Of course no one was looking at me for this photo!!  We also enjoyed time with my brother and his family and Jordan.

Sledding and Snow Play

Since we live in the middle of snow central we have to find ways to make it fun.  But there are dangers as well.  This was Christmas Vacation, it was so cold the whole time and the kids couldn't go outside.  It was usually around 10- during the daytime.  One day it was 20 degrees so I had the kids bundle up and go outside for a bit to play in the snow.   I went outside to give the boys hot chocolate while they were playing and to take their picture when I noticed that Rylee had white circles on his cheeks.  I panicked a little brought them all in, put warm washcloths on his face, and called the nurse line to ask what to do.  They said he had frostbite, stick him in the tub to warm his body and get his circulation flowing, and keep using the warm rags. If his skin turned red he was good, if it stayed white or blistered bring him in!  Thank goodness after awhile his cheeks turned red again!  I have no picture of the white patches on Rylee's che...
