DYLAN

Dylan's science fair project this year at school was about bubble gum! He was really excited to do this topic for his project because he got to chew lots and lots of gum. Here he is with his finished project....

And blowing the bubbles for the project...

He said he had alot of fun on the project and his teacher and other classmates really liked the idea!

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL
On Dylan's last day of school they had an awards ceremony. He was going to be surprised with a citizenship award for helping someone that needed it. The local police had come to the school to give him a certificate earlier in the year for the same thing and his principal and teachers decided they wanted to do one more thing for him. So they called him up and gave him a pin that says "Citizenship" on it. I thought I was recording everything but realized afterwards that I hadn't pushed my camera button hard enough so I don't have any pictures or video of him recieving the award.
This is Dylan with his 4th Grade teacher, Mrs. Luedke...
Dylan is playing baseball for the first time this year. He really enjoys it. He is catcher for his team and does a really good job.
A picture of Dylan as catcher at his first game...

And this is what Rylee does while Dylan is playing baseball...
They have this great little cage that all the little ones play in. Rylee is the little bald guy with the white shirt. I like the cage being there because it keeps them completely covered from stray balls and I can keep an eye on Rylee and still watch Dylan play.

Mini Vacation

We needed a vacation!  We were only able to do a long weekend so we had to stick close by.  We decided on a trip to the Denver Zoo and The Downtown Aquarium.  It was a good choice!  We all enjoyed our time away.

Monster Trucks and Family 2/2013

We went to Monster Jam on a recent trip to see Jordan and our family.  The kids loved it!  It was so so loud but fun to see! Everyone had their own favorite. Everyone went in already wanting to see grave digger, who is very popular but he broke down very early in the show.  Rylee liked the Mohawk truck and I think Kirk and Dylan both liked the dog one the best.  Best of all it was nice to spend family time together! While we were in Salt Lake we spent some time with family!  My aunts and girl cousins all get together for an aunts birthday.  This happened to be one of those gathering times.  so even though it was for a very short time it was good to see them all! Of course no one was looking at me for this photo!!  We also enjoyed time with my brother and his family and Jordan.

Sledding and Snow Play

Since we live in the middle of snow central we have to find ways to make it fun.  But there are dangers as well.  This was Christmas Vacation, it was so cold the whole time and the kids couldn't go outside.  It was usually around 10- during the daytime.  One day it was 20 degrees so I had the kids bundle up and go outside for a bit to play in the snow.   I went outside to give the boys hot chocolate while they were playing and to take their picture when I noticed that Rylee had white circles on his cheeks.  I panicked a little brought them all in, put warm washcloths on his face, and called the nurse line to ask what to do.  They said he had frostbite, stick him in the tub to warm his body and get his circulation flowing, and keep using the warm rags. If his skin turned red he was good, if it stayed white or blistered bring him in!  Thank goodness after awhile his cheeks turned red again!  I have no picture of the white patches on Rylee's che...
