Christmas Party, Eve & Day 2010

Rylee's class had a Christmas party on the last day before their break. They did crafts, ate lots of treats, listened to stories and sang a song for the parents. Jingle Bells... Making Crafts... Christmas Eve. It's that time of year again. The kids excitedly wait for Santa to come by with the Roving Christmas Tree. Rylee saw it coming and he got so excited! Santa handed out gifts.... An ornament drawing that Dylan did... Our Christmas Morning. This first one is our attempt at getting a picture of all of us together, including the dog. He made it nearly impossible because he would rather look at us then pose for the camera.... The kids tearing into their gifts... The boys posing in front of the tree and enjoying the new giant bean bag... Rylee wrapped up one of his toys for Dylan for a Christmas gift...Great wrapping job Rylee!!... Here is to another lovely Chirstmas day together!!

Getting Ready for Christmas!!

I really love this time of year. I love the decorating, the baking, the special programs at school and most of all, watching my kids enjoy Christmas morning. Here is a little bit of what we have been doing while waiting for the big day. Decorating the house and the Christmas tree... Dylan made this angel ornament for me a couple years ago. Here is the finished tree... These are Rylee and Dylan's FIRST ornaments when they were babies... A family ornament that we had made plus one of Jordan's older ones that I made for her in 2001... The school held a band concert for Christmas that Dylan was in. This was his first year playing an instrument. He played a baratone, at least I think that is what it's called anyway. Here is a video of the 5th graders playing one of their tunes. It was so cute and kinda funny, we kept hearing lots of funny squeeks and scratches but boy, did they try hard and did fairly well for only playing for a couple months. It was hard to get a pictur...

NOVEMBER 2010

November update.... (Except the first couple pictures from October that I had to share!) At the end of October we went to a pumpkin patch and Fall Harvest celebration.... November... We had quite a bit of snow for November...we usually don't start getting this much until December. It has also been getting EXTRA cold!! This is what my kids and some of their friends were doing when it was 11 degrees outside (Rylee doesn't need dirt to play with his tractors, he has lots of white stuff!) ... This is one cold morning when I was taking the kids to the school bus. Bright sparkly snow and thick fog on the mountain... Dylan's Birthday and Thanksgiving... Dylans birthday fell on the day before Thanksgiving so we had a family day together, presents and a requested turkey dinner! He spent the following weekend having a sleepover with 4 of his friends and he had a blast!! On Thanksgiving day we went to Gary, Teri and Shane's house for dinner. Then Teri made Dylan a footbal...

HALLOWEEN 2010

Here is a group of pictures from our Halloween evening. We went to Steamboat with some friends for their downtown trick or treating. It was a crazy crowd. There were so many people. Rylee really wanted to be a devil and I couldn't find a costume for him so I ended up making one. Dylan wanted to be a zombie and Kirk helped him make his costume. The boys had a good time and we got to see some great and very unique costumes. A couple weeks before Halloween we went to a Halloween party at my friends coffee shop. It was fun for the kids. They had pumpkin painting, make your own candy apples, digging for treasure in the barrel of wheat and bobbing for apples (sort of).
