TATTOOS

The boys really wanted Kirk to draw tattoos on them. After begging and begging he finally said yes. They were both proudly showing off their tattoos. Dylan a skull and bone and Rylee a smiley face. Fun times!

First Place Again!!

Dylan entered the Steamboat Springs Slopewise Skiier and Rider safety coloring contest again this year. This is the second year in a row that Dylan has won 1st place for his whole school! They judge on a couple different factors. The drawing, and the message and how well they "Know the Code". They go to each of the schools around here and teach show videos and teach the kids about skiier safety. Then the kids are supposed to take what they learned and make a drawing. All the first place entrants are then judged to find the grand prize winner. Dylan didn't win this one but he did get $50.00 for his first place win. He didn't want to do the drawing this year because he didnt think he could win again. But we encouraged him to do it and told him it is important to try. We want him to have some focus on the safety side too since he loves to go skiing. I'm proud of him for putting his drawing in the contest and he was very excited to win the money! His school made a b...

Visiting Jordan & The Zoo

April 2010 We went to Salt Lake to see Jordan and some other family. Although, once again I didn't do a good job with getting many pictures. I mostly got pictures of our trip to the zoo. It was Rylee's first time and he had a great time! He really wanted to see the big cats, but for some reason they were all sleeping so we couldn't see them very good. But we did get to see other animals. Monkeys Giraffes Elephants More monkeys My cousin Melissa came with us. While we were there we surprised Jordan with a birthday cake because her birthday was the week before. We went to the mall for a little bit and the kids rode the carousel Dylan bought some sour cream and onion crickets at HotTopic at the mall and all the kids ate them. Rylee ate the most and he didn't care at all that they were bugs. Dylan did ok with them too. Jordan decided she didn't like it much and didn't even get one full one down. I think everyone of them are braver than I am, because I woul...

Anniversary, skiing and a cute little monkey!

Kirk and I celebrated our 12 Anniversary on April 10th! We got someone to watch the kids and went to watch a movie. We watched "Date Night". It was hilarious! We laughed throughout the whole movie. Then we went to dinner at Qdoba's, pretty yummy! The next day Kirk and Dylan went skiing. Thanks to Kirk's friend that had a couple of free passes that needed to be used because it was the last day before they closed the mountain for the season. They really enjoyed their day! Hopefully next season they can ski more than this one. Dylan should be getting some skiing in because they have a free program for 5th graders. Now if we can get Kirk a pass and maybe even Rylee. This costume was given to us a few years ago for Dylan and now it fits Rylee. He spent the whole day wearing it and thought it was very funny when I called him a little monkey, because this time he really was a little monkey!

Easter 2010

Kodak moments of our Easter this year... Rylee and the kids I babysit all made these fun bunny ears in celebration of Easter. I took the kids to the town's Easter Egg Hunt! Dylan was too old to participate but he was great at helping Rylee. He helped Rylee find 5 golden eggs and those are the ones with the special prizes. They were very sweet to give two little kids a golden egg that didn't get any. Easter Morning! Coloring Easter eggs

Visiting Friends and Family

During Spring break we decided to go to Utah and see some family. It had been awhile especially for Kirk. We went to Zion while we were there, with Amanda and Jammie. Here are some pictures from our trip to Zion. We drove through the tunnel in Zion. The kids really liked that, especially Rylee. Before we left we had to go feed the elk, buffalo and mini donkeys that were living at someones home in the nearby town, Springdale. This is Sue, Kirk's mom, and her guy Richard. Vera and Lilly... Kirk and his Mom.... Daniel and Megan Rylee and Lilly... A very quickly put together, and rushed photo of the whole family on my side (minus Jordan who wasn't able to be there). Amanda's awesome friend came with no notice to do this for my mom who really wanted a picture of all of us while we were mostly all there. And this is the same of Kirks side of the family (minus Jordan and Kirks sister,Taffi, and her family) Also just a quick idea to take a photo. Dylan put the camera up on the...

August 09 Photos

Back in August 2009, I was planning on trying to get some family photos while Jordan was here. I wanted to print them out and send them but had not done it yet. As luck would have it, I lost all my photos on the computer and I didn't save them to a disk or back anything up and so most of them are now gone forever. I did print a couple of them and saved a few on a photo printing website so at least I have those. I found this one goofy picture that we took with all of us. The quality isn't the greatest but it's a funny picture... Rylee... Dylan.... Jordan...
