Rylee's Haircut

Kirk decided to cut Rylee's hair while I was at work....Yikes! It's ok but it just doesn't look like my little Rylee yet. And besides....why is KIRK cutting someone's hair??? Ha Ha. BEFORE: AFTER: By the way, the first picture is a look that we tried to recreate that Rylee gives us when he's trying to make us laugh. It's not the exact thing but pretty close. Guess where he learned it....Dylan of course. It's the same thing Dylan does to us when we tell him to do something and he says "what??" when he feels put out. He puts his hand out and tilts his head to the side with his mouth hanging open. Anyway...it's hilarious to us :)

Winter Festival

We went to the annual winter festival in Craig last weekend. We missed most of the good stuff because we went on the second day of the festival. They have snowmobile races, a cardboard box derby, sledding, ice sculptures and more. We only got to see the ice sculptures but we stayed and checked out the museum and gift shop and had a pretty good time all while learning about the history of the area. Here is the guy working on a bear ice sculpture. It was pretty neat to watch how they do it. Rylee loves tractors so I thought he would like to see this but honestly, he didn't seem to care one way or another. We thought it was pretty cool though. Dylan liked this car the most. Rylee really wanted to get in it, too bad he couldn't. Clyde is the resident elk and came from one of the first domestic Elk Herds. Clyde is now nine years old. When he was born his mother died and they bottle fed him.

Valentines for the Kiddo's

Aaaah! It's Valentines Day again. We usually don't do a whole lot but decided to try and have a little fun this year.... For Dylan's class we made heart shaped rice crispies. Dylan is working hard on making the tags And the finished product.... I made these little gum guys for the kids on my bus and the kids and I made this for Kirk. The fortune cookies looked good but the paper messages inside didn't come out they way they were supposed to. The butter in the dough made the paper greasy and hard to read. Oh well...we tried. The kids and I also went down to a local store to look around and they were having cookie decorating and a pink Llama to pet. I was surprised that Rylee actually got up close and pet it. He usually stays away from big animals. While Dylan had the reigns the Llama would step towards him and get pretty close. I don't know if he knew what to think about that. He just kept backing up more and saying how it's breath was really bad. Kirk...

New colors!

We have slowly but surely been changing and improving parts of our house. Kirk's new project is painting our walls. When we moved in here all the walls in the house (with exception of the Jungle Book mural and the hot pink room) were antiseptic white. Now we are proud to say, there is some COLOR! This is kind of exciting for us because before now we have always rented and had white walls. It's been nice to do what we want with our house. I can't wait til we can change the colors on the outside :). WHITE WALLS & THE DOG.... PAINTERS ZONE..... END RESULT!

Happy Birthday to Myself! Ha Ha!

What do you do when you turn 30?! Change the way you look. HaHa. That's what I gave myself for my birthday gift. I've been wanting to change my hair color for a long time but can't really afford to go to a salon (they are not cheap around here) and I was scared to do it here at home cause the last time I did it there were issues. But I think it turned out ok and I like the color better. BEFORE.... AFTER..... My birthday was mostly like any other day. Cooking....cleaning....playing with kids, until Kirk surprised me with dinner and plans for the kids to be at grandpa and Teri's house. It was a nice surprise and we enjoyed ourselves. Thank you to everyone for a great birthday! Shane's birthday was the next day. HAPPY 16th BIRTHDAY SHANE!
